 about me—

My superpower is wielding design in multiple ways. I thrive in the intersection of analysis and creativity, which I believe is the core of good design. My journey spans a background in accounting to a leap into visual art and design when I moved from the Philippines to New York in 2019. Since then, I’ve worked as an illustrator and designer in gaming, publishing, animation, comics, and e-learning.

Product and digital design became the perfect blend of my skills, where strategy, research, and visual storytelling converge. Studying UX design and creative coding at Parsons expanded my approach, allowing me to merge art with problem-solving. But wearing many hats doesn’t guarantee success—passion does. I’m a resilient self-starter committed to using design to uplift communities.

Beyond my professional work, I help run Kittybug Press, a micropress archiving the visual stories of Filipino female and LGBTQ+ artists as an act of resistance. Through our free Risograph printing initiative, we provide opportunities for Filipino artists and designers to expand their creative practice and explore new mediums. As co-owner, I’m primarily responsible for our finances and merchandise production.

When I’m not working, I’m probably busy writing film reviews on Letterboxd, bingeing TV shows, tinkering on p5.js, playing video games, or obsessing over my two cats.
